Bout 1: Daniel Matthews vs Murray Brockman at 67kg 3 x 3
Matthews fought Southpaw. He banged out the left kicks. Brockman wore them and moved to his left. He couldn’t get an edge on the recently promoted fighter. Matthews took the unanimous decision win.
Bout 2: Quang Pham vs Steven Morales at 63.5 3 x 3
Pham got hands. Morales felt it. He went down for a count in the first round. Morales was tough as. Got back up and kept it going. The pace got to Pham in the third. He breathed hard to the end but Pham got the decision 29-27 from all three judges.
Bout 3: Michelle Russell vs Tia Ford at 53kg 3 x 3
Russell brought her blades to the fight. She cut up Ford early. Some fighters lose their heart when cut. Ford saw red. She continued to push through to the decision. It was Russell who took the points win.
Bout 4: Jack Matthews vs Van Phan at 60kg 3 x 3
Van Phan took off to an early start. He used his lead leg to attack Matthews. He cracked at Matthews’ rear leg. So Matthews changed tactics. In the second round, he pushed into the clinch. Matthews chased him down for a points win.
Bout 5: Tim Nguyen vs Jason Scott at 70kg 3 x 3
Muay Mat met Muay Khao for three rounds. Nguyen punched hard. He pivoted. He pushed off. Scott charged in on the Rhino with his clinch and knee style. Scott grabbed him in the second and third. He won via a split points decision.

Matthew Stevens vs Damon Nelson
It was going well for Damon Nelson. He landed leg kicks and strong attacks. Then Stevens changed the game with a hook and a walk off. Stevens won in the first round by KO.

Jonathan Aiulu vs Victor Hugo
It was a back and forth clash. Aiulu delivered powerful punches that shook Hugo’s head. The Brazilian athlete used sharp kicks. The Unanamious points decision went to Aiulu.

Tamroypor Aor Kunsuek vs Hugh O’Donnell
O’Donnell came out strong and aggressive. He chopped at Tamroypor’s legs. The Thai boxer did his best to fend off O’Donnell but O’Donnell wouldn’t back down. The points win went to O’Donnell.

Mohammad Siasarani vs Kongthailand Kao Sok
Siasarani wanted the fight. Kongthailand wanted to win. Siasarani tried to push in on the tactical Thai fighter. Kongthailand used effective controls to slow him. Kongthailand took the points decision.
Bout 10: Ramesh Habib vs Carter Lawrance at welterweight 5 x 3
Lawrance stood tall. Habib needed to make up the distance. He chopped at the legs and learned the length in the later rounds. Lawrance kept his height though. He won the bout on a majority points decision.
Bout 11: Semi Final Qest Infrastructure X Rebellion 8 Man Eliminator
Matthew Stevens vs Jonathan Aiulu
Stevens dropped Aiulu in the first. Aiulu tried to make up for the 8 Count. He charged at Stevens. The Riker’s Gym fighter was able to control Aiulu. Stevens took the points win.

Kongthailand Kao Sok vs Hugh O’Donnell
Sydney based athlete Hugh O’Donnell moved forward. Kongthailand used his controls. He pecked at O’Donnell. The Thai athlete cut O’Donnell across the nose. The decision went the way of Kongthailand.
Bout 13: Tum Winner Muay Thai vs Adam Noi at 61kg 5 x 3
It was a technical battle par excellence. Two fimeus using timing and technique in a game of wits. The tense test went to a decision. The judges rested the win on Tum Winner Muay Thai.
Bout 14: Qest Infrastructure X Rebellion 8 Man Eliminator Final
Matthew Stevens vs Kongthailand Kao Sok
The final of the tournament was nerve wracking. The crowd roared with each strike landed. A hush of anticipation quieted the room between shots. Stevens used angles. Kongthailand used controls. The Thai athlete took home the points win and the $25,000 paycheck.
